A 9/11 post worth reading
I saw a post written by Meg Cabot back in 2001. It told the 9/11 story from a different point of view, the view of a wife waiting, terrified, to learn about her husband, a friend waiting to find out how many people she knew in the rubble. But it also told about the small acts of kindness from people who were desperate to do something but didn’t know how to help, the quiet acts of bravery from the men and women who were simply doing their job one last time. It is long, but it is worth reading. Please pass the tissues.
