Catching Fireflies

finding magic along the way

Thank You For Your Patience

I just want to take a moment to thank all of my followers, readers and supporters for their continued support over the last few months. My certification class is over now. The test is behind me and I am thrilled to report that I passed! So I have added Certified Physician Practice Manager to my Certified Professional Coder and Certified Professional Biller. I have covered a lot of material in the past two years and carried a lot of stress. Phew! I’ll tell ya, playing Girl Wonder by day and trying to be a writer at night can sure take a lot out of you! ๐Ÿ™‚

It's official!

It’s official!

And now, I have no further excuse to not buckle down and focus on this book publishing adventure.

My husband and I are designing the cover and have a solid idea of where we want to go with it. I have dug out all my notes from my formatting class and will start that process this month. I am wracking my brain for the book description (fellow writers, why is this such a difficult task??). I have researched ISBNs and copyright and CreateSpace and just about every aspect of self-publishing I can think of.

I am always looking for marketing ideas. So any writers out there who have been through the process and have wisdom to share, please feel free to comment! ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyone who loves to read can feel free to chime in too on this. What kind of advertising grabs your attention? What do you look for in a book description? Do you sometimes buy based solely on the cover?

I am planning on keeping up with regular blog posts during this adventure and will be sure to keep you updated on when you can expect to find me on an Amazon search!

  1. Congratulations on another certification, Cheryl! You ARE superwoman! I can’t wait to see your cover design; your story has so many fun elements you could use. I’m happy for you that you’ll now have time to make this dream a reality!

    • Thanks Candace!! superwoman needs a vacation! ๐Ÿ˜Š I am definitely taking a break on day job certifications to focus on writing for a while.
